Community Chipping Days – Grand County CO – July 9th

The team at Isoterics Apparel is getting pumped for our first partnership and wildfire mitigation project. On July 9th we will be sponsoring Grand County Community Chipping days in conjunction with Grand County Wildfire Council and the East Grand Fire Department. We will be setting up a pop-up booth at the event with Isoterics Apparel and gear for sale as well as limited edition, “Chipping days” t-shirts. All profits from our “Chipping Days” t-shirt will go to Grand County Wildfire Council to help keep this community wildfire resilient and future chipping efforts free.

Fire Mitigation on Your Property and Its Importance

So why participate in your local chipping days, especially if you’re in high-risk areas? By keeping your own property free of dead fall, beetle-kill and overgrowth you help create what’s known as a defensible space. “A defensible space is the buffer between a residence or structure and the trees, shrubs, grass or plants that surround it. This space is needed to slow or stop the spread of wildfire, as well as to protect the firefighters who respond.” –National Fire Protection Agency. The coolest part about most community-based chipping projects is that they are free, and we are here to help keep it that way. We encourage everyone who owns property in high-risk areas to do your part and mitigate. It could save your home or your life. Simply put, it keeps your community and property wildfire resilient.

If you’re not in the Grand County area, we encourage you to reach out to your local fire department and ask about mitigation services that are provided in your area.

To those fine folks in Winter Park and the Fraser area, we look forward to seeing you soon. Please find links below to learn more about this upcoming opportunity to better protect your home during fire season.

Be Wild Fire Ready

Cheers,

Team Iso
