Making a Difference in Forest Fire Mitigation 2023 Donation
Jefferson County Colorado
With our focus on sustainability and forest fire mitigation, we are excited to announce how our 2023 profits will be used. Like last year, we have donated 100% of profits towards forest fire mitigation projects through our collaboration with the Elk Creek Fire department and their Wildland Fuels Crew. We are grateful to our community for supporting us and believing in our mission. Together, we can create a safer and greener future.
How the funds will be used:
Our funds will go towards implementing 10 acres of forest health treatments along a secondary egress route in Jefferson County Colorado. The overall objective is to reduce the hazard of extreme wildfire impingement on the emergency egress road.
The fuels crew will specifically be removing trees and brush by hand, along with mechanical work and mastication. All slash will be chipped and hauled off the area. All logs will be stacked adjacent to the road for use as firewood. This work will be completed by October 1st 2024.
We also have an exciting funds donation match that we will expand upon in later posts and provide further transparency on how much we’ve donated in the last 3 years of business.
Partnering for a Purpose:
Through our collaboration with local fire departments and their Wildland fuels crews, we have been able to channel our efforts towards effective forest fire mitigation projects. These partnerships allow us to work hand-in-hand with professionals who are on the front lines, protecting our forests and communities from the devastating effects of wildfires. By donating 100% of our 2023 profits, we are able to provide vital support to these dedicated crews and their important work.
The Role of Our Elk Creek T-shirt and Hat Design:
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our community for their support in purchasing our products, particularly our Elk Creek t-shirt and hat design. The success of these products has played a significant role in enabling us to donate 100% of our profits towards forest fire mitigation projects.
By wearing these products, our community members have not only shown their style and love for nature but also actively contributed to our mission of creating a safer environment.
Looking Ahead:
As we move forward, we are inspired by the impact we have made and motivated to do more. We will continue to collaborate with local fire departments and their Wildland fuels crews to support forest fire mitigation projects. Our commitment to sustainability, eco-friendly practices, and giving back to our communities remains unwavering.

“10% For Removal” Proceeds and Where They’re Going
After closing out our first year of sales we’re excited to announce the details of where our efforts are going. As many of our amazing customers and followers have heard us say, we give 10% of profits towards the removal of beetle-kill, dead-fall and mitigation. We took it a step further to celebrate our first year of sales operations and we are donating 10% of total revenues, and our CO-Founders are matching this amount by 100%.
Our year-end funds are going to the Grand County Wildfire Council. Specifically, we will be supporting and sponsoring their “Community Chipping Days” initiatives coming up this spring and summer of 2022.
The Grand County Wildfire Council mission is: “Through collaboration, education and action, engage in wildfire prevention, preparedness, mitigation, and survival.”

After closing out 2022 and our 2nd year of sales, Isoterics Apparel is incredibly excited to announce where our 10% of Profits will be going, the impact it will have, and our newest partnership for forest health and fire mitigation!
Drumroll Please…
This year, we are honored to give our 10% of Profits donation to support the new Conifer Wildland Division, a partnership with Elk Creek, Inter-Canyon, and North Fork Fire Protection Districts in Jefferson and Park County, Colorado.
“Thank You!” to our amazing community of followers who purchased our products and supported our cause in 2022. We are stoked to say that this year’s donation was our largest to-date. What’s even better is that the donation funds will be matched dollar for dollar by the Action, Implementation, and Mitigation Program run by Coalitions and Collaboratives Inc. This program supports safe and healthy ecosystems through place-based groups practicing wildfire mitigation across North America.
Sponsored Projects
The financial donation will support capacity building and implementation of several important fire mitigation initiatives in this high risk mountain community in 2023.
Fuel Break Implementation
Three science-based shaded fuel breaks will be implemented or continued from previous years to protect communities and provide action points to help with suppression efforts in the event of a fire.
Community Chipping Program
The Community Chipping program helps support homeowners across the 400 square mile area implement defensible space and remove the associated biomass.
Education to Action
The Colorado Certified Burner program is being offered to the area’s Community Ambassador program and surrounding partners to help support more efficient biomass removal across the landscape.
These projects all have the primary goals of improving forest health, reducing the extreme wildfire risk to communities, associated infrastructure, and the surrounding Upper South Platte Watershed which sustains miles of trout fishing and drinking water for millions of people on the front range of Colorado.
Continued Support
In addition to our 10% of Profits donation, we are excited to provide continued support to the Elk Creek Fire Protection District throughout 2023 with the sale of a limited edition run of shirts, hats and accessories. Keep an eye out for these items to hit our website, and come find us at summer events in 2023 for a chance to grab some of this sweet gear.
Designer Shout Out!
Lastly, we also wanted to give a big thank you and shout out to our friends at MTN Creative for their collaboration and design work on the Elk Creek product line. Beyond being awesome people and good friends, they always deliver next-level designs that bring our concepts to life!
